What I would like to know why are more and more people suffering from mental health issues, including children? It makes me wonder if the numbers haven’t actually increased but whether it’s only now we are starting to recognise and accept that these issues are common in a lot of people.

I think it is a mixture of greater awareness and the stresses and strains of life today. Unless we tackle mental health issues with children at a relatively early age there is a real danger they will suffer for the rest of their lives.

Do we not need to let children be children in the early years until they "find their feet" and then address any issues. Is there a danger of labelling them at a very early age?
