    Interesting - so people with anxiety may have a "more finely tuned" self defence system?

    Pretty much.

    Extreme example;
    Mr NoFear skies off piste and goes over the cliff
    Ms MildAnxiety plays it safe within her comfort and stays within her comfort zone, enjoys her holiday and gets home to tell everyone how good it was.
    Mr OverAnxious wants to go skiing but can't even get on the plane to fly to the ski resort.

    So, like so many things in life it is a matter of trying to find a balance?

    I once read somewhere that when you need to go to the loo your mind is more focused and you make decisions quicker - sounds a bit bizarre?
